What is SoGEA Broadband?
SoGEA stands for Single Order Generic Ethernet Access. Now you only need to place one order with Gamma for your broadband data service. Traditional phone line installation is not needed with Rorotel SoGEA so costs fall.
Rorotel SoGEA delivers the same performance and data rates as FTTC broadband. It uses the same infrastructure and has the same geographic availability, future-proofing connectivity as the UK moves to an all-IP network.
Important information about SoGEA
- SoGEA stands for Single Order Generic Ethernet Access.
- Until now you needed to have a traditional phone line installed to deliver broadband to a home or office, but SoGEA broadband doesn’t run over a phone line; instead, it uses the same fibre/copper network without the WLR (Wholesale Line Rental = Phone line) element.
- SoGEA is offered at the same data rates as FTTC broadband. It delivers the same performance and has the same geographic availability. The only difference is the need for a phone line has been removed.
FTTP (Full Fiber)
FTTP, which stands for "Fiber To The Premises," is a cutting-edge broadband technology that involves the deployment of optical fiber cables directly to individual homes, businesses, or premises. Lease Line
A lease line, also known as a dedicated line or leased line, is a type of telecommunications connection that provides a dedicated and private communication link between two or more locations. Unlike traditional broadband services that are shared among multiple users, a lease line is exclusively reserved for the use of a single organization.
Lease lines are often used by businesses and institutions that require high levels of data transfer, reliability, and consistent performance. These dedicated lines can carry various types of data, including voice, video, and internet traffic, with consistent and guaranteed bandwidth.
